Building & Grounds Committe

Plans renovations, repairs, and overall maintenance of all parish properties.

Time Commitment:

Meets 2nd Saturday of every month for 90 minutes and as needed.

Candle Ministry

Candle Ministry

Maintains the upper and lower church candle areas i.e. buying and replenishing candle supplies and collecting donations from candle boxes.

Time Commitment:

About 15 minutes every 2 weeks.

Children’s Rosary

The Children’s Rosary is a prayer group movement for children. It is a time when children can come together to pray and lead the rosary as a prayer group. Parents are invited to stay and pray along in the pews as the children lead the prayers. This ministry serves to strengthen the prayer lives of our children.

Time Commitment: 

Second Sunday of every month from 9:45-10:15 AM in the lower Chapel.

Crossfire is a group for young adults (ages 20s and 30s) to live their faith through Bible study, community service, and fellowship. We are a welcoming community to explore and discuss critical issues related to faith. Other activities include:  service projects, local dinner gatherings, hikes, picnics, game nights and more. 

Time Commitment:

Gospel Study meets every Tuesday night at 7:30 pm. Fellowship and community service opportunities are scheduled throughout the month.

Divine Mercy

Divine Mercy

Turns to a prayer hour in order to implore God's mercy to a troubled world.

Time Commitment:

Last Sunday of every month from 12 — 1 PM.

Eucharistic Ministers

Assist with the distribution of Holy Communion during mass.

Time Commitment:

Training includes 1 workshop sponsored by the diocese and a second training at the parish.

Ministers are scheduled to serve at least twice per month. They choose mass dates and times.

Eucharistic Homebound

Eucharistic Ministers to the Homebound

Delivers Holy Eucharist to homebound parishioners.  

Time Commitment: 

Training includes an evening workshop sponsored by the diocese and a second 1 hour training session with the Eucharistic to the Homebound coordinator. 

After the training  Ministers about 1 hour per week.

Knights of Columbus Council 3600

The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic fraternal organization.  We provide various volunteer opportunities throughout the year that support our parish and community.  

Time Commitment:

Monthly meetings are held in the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish Center on the first Thursday of every month.

Little Lambs

We would like to invite all of our 3-year-old through Kindergarten aged children to join us for Little Lambs during the 10:30 AM Masses. This is NOT a CCD class. Little Lambs is a program that helps the children understand the Sunday Gospel on their level. We pray together, sing songs, play games, activities, and read age-appropriate gospel stories. Volunteers always welcome.

prayer shawl

Prayer Shawl Ministry

This group meets to knit prayer shawls which bring prayerful comfort, warmth, support and love to people who are ill and would benefit from the loving embrace of one of our prayer shawls.

Time Commitment:

Meets the 1st Wednesday of each month from 10:15-11:45 AM in Parish Center.

Refugee Ministry

The Refugee Ministry prays for global refugees, educates and informs parishioners about migration aspects, advocates in accordance with the USCCB Justice for Immigration campaign, and connects and reaches out to local refugees to assist in their needs.

Respect Life

Dedicated to promoting education, awareness and engagement opportunities around the Church's teachings on "respect for life." 

We do this through prayer, Catholic solidarity, and various activities.

Time Commitment:

Commitment varies based on activities and involvement (range from 2+ hours per month: Meets the first Thursday of every month at 7:30 pm and Wednesdays at 3 PM  for Rosary & Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

Social Action

To serve the Church and the community as well as to study and implement the social justice teachings of the Catholic Church.

Sunday Brunch

Coffee hour has been expanded to a brunch to offer you more healthy food choices.  Brunch will be hosted on the third Sunday of select months by various STA ministries. Brunch dates are: November 18; December 16; January 20; February 17; March 17; May 19. Come enjoy the company of others in our fantastic STA community.

Time Commitment:

Generally 15 minutes to 2 hours.

Supports the greeters at each mass by distributing both the parish bulletin and music programs. Conducts the collections during weekend and feast day masses; leads the October count and assists parishioners with seating needs during mass.

Time Commitment:

1-5 masses per month assigned at the Usher's choosing.
