Requirements for Submitting Website Material
Regarding communications to our web master Susan Trappe, make sure you follow these requirements:
- The title line of each submission should indicate the title of the committee, organization, ministry, or activity and the name of the person submitting the information.
- Each submission should indicate on what page or pages on the website the information should be posted.
- Submissions must be carefully proof read before they are e-mailed to Susan.
- Submit the information to Susan once, not multiple times with additional tweaks and changes.
- Photographs of events including videos and pod casts can be submitted, but they should be “zipped” and attached to an e-mail. To “zip” photographs, videos, and pod casts the submitter would put them in an appropriately named folder, then right click on the folder and select “send to” and then choose “zipped folder”. This will “zip” the pictures in the folder to be sent. They are much easier to access by Susan and less prone to become corrupted in transit.
- Include your phone number when submitting information to Susan.
- Use WORD documents.
Our contract with our web master is limited to 10 hours a month and it is possible that she may not be able to get your material on line when you want it. Thus it is crucial that you (1) follow these requirements to allow Susan to use her time as effectively and efficiently as possible and (2) get your information to Susan as soon as possible.
